Kelly Causey is the executive director at Mile High Youth Corps: An organization that connects young adults with jobs that not only help the student but build a better community.
"We are going to be hiring young adults and train them to go to the homes of low-income residents here in Denver. They are going to be installing water efficiency measures in those homes," Causey said. "They're trained to install high-efficiency toilets, low-flow shower heads and aerators."
All of the jobs posted are for people between the ages of 18 and 24 years old. The jobs start in July and go through the fall and into December.
"We want motivated people who want to work with their hands," Causey said. "All of the young adults get paid a stipend, plus they can earn an Americorps scholarship, which they can use for college or for whatever their next step might be with their education."
If you would like to apply, you can stop by the Mile High Youth Corps office at 1801 Federal Blvd. in Denver. You can also go to their website at Milehighyouthcorps.org.
