Traci Gilbert opened her door at 2:30 a.m. on Sunday to find a 3-year-old boy standing on her porch.
Gilbert couldn't figure out where this child had come from.
"There was a little guy standing there holding a bag. Beautiful little boy. He looked frightened and confused but calm and his hoodie was covered in snow and slush," she said.
The boy's father had left his car running outside a 7-Eleven earlier in the night. A thief stole it, but when he realized he had a passenger in the back seat, he let the boy out on the side of the road.
Gilbert says she's just glad the boy could reach her doorbell.
Police helped reunite the child with his father.
The car thief still hasn't been caught.
