More than 120 light plows will be deployed on Denver residential streets Thursday night and will remain out until further notice. Some 4X4 pickup trucks and small dump trucks with plows will be getting the job done. They are driven by trained employees from the Denver Public Works and Denver Parks and Recreation.

Plows will be working to keep the streets manageable. They will not be plowed to bare pavement, and no de-icing materials will be spread.

In addition, Denver Public Works Street Maintenance will deploy 68 large plows which will both de-ice and plow the main, striped streets.

Drivers are encouraged to exercise caution when driving. If you have questions, please contact Denver Public Works at 720-291-0820.

Aurora will have 65 plows on the road throughout the pending storm, clearing the way for travelers.
